The Ministry of Transport is proud to announce that Air Seychelles is exiting Company reorganization (Administration) after it has successfully been able to pay off its debts and reached financial stability. This is through the collective effort of the Ministry, Administrators, the Air Seychelles’ board, management, staff members and legal counsel.
The Ministry of Transport would like to inform the press and public that the full scale work on the West Coast Road project has started.
The full scale construction work has started since last week. The West coast road improvement works commenced on the 3rd October 2022 with initial leveling and boundary setting works.
Port development and improved transport infrastructures and services were the main topics of a courtesy call made by the new French Ambassador to Seychelles, Ms. Olivia Berkeley-Christmann to the Minister for Transport, Mr. Antony Derjacques.
During the brief meeting, Ambassador Berkeley-Christmann spoke of her desire to continue the endeavor of her predecessor to promote Regional Corporation through shared expertise in the transport sector.
Twenty two electric buses will soon be introduced in the Seychelles Public Transport Corporation (SPTC) fleet, an announcement made recently (03/11/2022) during the official launch of the Electric mobility project. It was the Minister for Transport, Antony Derjacques who officially launched the Seychelles Electric Mobility project that aims at introducing more environmentally friendly transport in the country.

The Ministry of Transport celebrates the launch of the Seychelles Electronic Border System (SEBS) for entry and exit, introduced by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The new SEBS introduces a digital travel experience and enhances border security, replacing the immigration papers upon arrival.
An A300 Airbus is expected to land at the Pointe Larue International Airport tomorrow Saturday 08th October 2022, estimated Time of Arrival 11:25 a.m. following Seychelles decision to resume Aeroflot flights. This is a decision made jointly by the Ministry of Transport and SCAA.
