Seychelles’ Minister for Transport, Antony Derjacques, and Qatar’s Minister of Transport Jassim bin Seif bin Ahmed al-Sulaiti, signed a new bilateral Air Services on the sidelines of the 41st ICAO Assembly in Montreal.

Seychelles’ Minister for Transport, Antony Derjacques, today signed a historic bilateral Air Services Agreement to allow airlines to operate direct flights between Mahé and Kazakhstan. This will clear the path for a surge in tourism between the two countries.

IMO recommends a Needs Assessment Analysis in order to further its cooperation with The Maritime Accident Investigation Board (MAIB).
The International Maritime Organization was pleased with the MAIB’s request for increased cooperation and support and is eager to help the board professionalize itself.
In remembrance of lost seafarers and those who have passed away, the Seychelles Maritime Safety Authority (SMSA) organized a church service in their honor. The service which took place at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral today (Wednesday 28th September 2022) also coincides with the World Maritime Day commemorated on the 29th September.

In a visit made at the Seychelles Vehicle Testing Station (VTS) by the end of this week (Friday 23rd September 2022), the COGA committee was delighted to see the improvements made to equipment, management of queues, staff working conditions and even on ways to modernize the station.

The outgoing French Ambassador to the Republic of Seychelles, Mr. Dominique Mass made a farewell visit to the Minister for Transport, Antony Derjacques this morning (Thursday 22nd September 2022). He will reach the end of his tenure by the end of this month.
