The Department of Civil Aviation, Ports and Marine (DfCAPM)

The Department of Civil Aviation, Ports and Marine (DfCAPM) is a small department in the Ministry of Transport that works through its agencies and partners to ensure Seychelles’ air and maritime transport networks run safely, efficiently, and securely, to help Seychelles’ businesses, and to get people and goods travelling both within the archipelago and internationally.

We plan and invest in maritime and civil aviation transport infrastructure to keep Seychelles on the move, and have one of the largest and most complex capital portfolios in government.

Vision of the Department of Civil Aviation, Ports & Marine

An integrated transport system that enables the movement of people and goods from one location to another safely, securely, and seamlessly, through means which are reliable, accessible, net zero, and cost effective.

Priorities of the Department of Land Transport

Our priorities are to:

  • boost economic growth and opportunity
  • improve journeys
  • provide safe, secure, and sustainable air and sea transport in air and waters that are ever cleaner

About the Ministry

The Minister for Transport has overall responsibility for the departments, as well as its arm’s length bodies (ALBs), which have established governance structures.
